Internet Safety

Safety is a vital part of being a Girl Scout and girls learning to think about safety in all parts of her life is key. This includes cyberspace. Girls should follow the guidelines outlined in Safety-Wise concerning online safety.


LMK, Let Me Know, Online Safety tips for girls and their families

Let Me Know

LMK is text speak for "Let me know." The online safety campaign was created in partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA and Microsoft. It includes an interactive Web site for girls, as well as an e-newsletter written by girls and a Web site for adults. The newsletter will help parents gather tips and tools to help keep their families safer online.


Internet Safety Pledge

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has created an Internet Safety Pledge for kids and has several resources for parents and kids about online safety, computers and the web.
