Fall Product Program
The Fall Product Program is one of two Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania-sponsored programs that combines educational activities with money-earning opportunities for troops.
Our Fall Product Program is known as a “Friends and Family” sale, meaning registered Girl Scouts can approach friends and family to purchase nut and candy items, as well as magazines. Funds earned through the program help troops earn start-up money for their programs and activities throughout the troop year. All registered Girl Scouts (Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors and Juliettes) can participate. Due to our partnership and commitment to the United Way, we are unable to permit booth sales and door-to-door sales during our Fall Product Program.
Our partner for the 2014 GSHPA Fall Product Program is Ashdon Farms, founded in 1921 and working with Girl Scouts since 1996. They offer a wide selection of delicious nut and candy products, including a product line of molded chocolates that are sold exclusively through Girl Scouts. Ashdon Farms is SQF certified and maintains the highest rating possible of Superior from AIB (Association of International Bakers).
Magazine subscriptions are sold through QSP, a Great American Company.
QSP/GAO partners with 84 Girl Scout Councils nationwide and has been working with Girl Scouts since 1973. Customers can choose from over 600 (print and digital) magazine subscriptions!
The Girl Scout Fall Product Program is the best way for your troop to:
- Earn funds early in the year for troop activities. (Average GSHPA troop proceeds last year were $141!)
- Grow confidence, skills, and financial competence—and have fun while doing so!
- Be prepared for the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
The nuts, candies, Girl Scout tins and magazine subscriptions make wonderful gifts that arrive in time for the holidays and support Girl Scouts.
